June 2019
**Contraband Update**
As of our next gig July 13th @ The Sun Inn/Burnopfield Stephen Bird aka Budgie will make his Debut for Contraband. Contraband would like to wish Martin aka Skinny boy all the best in his new band.
Hope some of you can come along and make Budgies 1st gig otherwise see you all soon.

2nd rehearsal has gone better than expected, 1st gig with Budgie TBA soon.

First rehearsal with new axe man Stephen Bird has gone well, the 2nd to be announced soon. At the end of that rehearsal a date will be announced for Stephens 1st gig with Contraband.

**The diary is now open for 2020, gigs have already started to come in so be quick as the diary will not take long to fill up**

Our guitarist Martin Ballinger a.k.a Skinny boy is moving on to pastures new, Martin is going to be with us until his replacement is up and running over the next few months.
Our new guitarist/Stephen Bird had a very successful audition and is busy learning the Contraband set, rehearsals will start shortly and a full announcement will follow.
August 2018
Contraband are now fully booked for 2019, a huge thank you goes to our regular venues and to those venues that have just booked us for the first time.? Little Mo's phone has been glowing red hot!??
January 2018 - Stop press!! We have a handful of dates newly available for this year, due to some venues stopping bands. Please check our gig list to see when we are available to book and contact us asap, these dates should go fast?
November 2017 - We are now fully booked for 2018, many thanks to all venues for your support, and to all the customers who have been asking when we're back!??
April 2017 - Our long standing drummer Keith Setchell has announced his plans to retire, we're sorry to see him go but Keith will be making the odd appearance with us, in particular his send off gig at The Big Jug in Durham (Sept 29th).We have found a more than worthy replacement in the form of the fabulous Mr Kevin 'Taffy' Bick, who's debut with Contraband will be in his hometown Darlington on 6th May: at The Railway Tavern. ?He's a bit excited you know.
